Wine to Asia 2024 will be held from May 9 to 11 at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center (Futian). One of the highlights of this exhibition – ICE/ITA Italy Pavilion, officially organized by the Italian Trade Agency, will bring 50 Italian exhibitors together to present high-quality Italian wines. The scale of the Pavilion is grand, spanning the major regions and styles of Italy in the North, Middle and South. At the same time, Andrea Lonardi MW, the first Italian Master of Wine to appear in China, will host a masterclass to guide guests to experience the uniqueness and irreplaceability of Italian wines.


Italian wines have always been an important part of the global wine market. In recent years, in the Chinese market, Italian wines have seen significant market growth in sparkling and white wines, in addition to the traditional strengths of red wines. From refreshing and delicious sparkling wines to complex and full-bodied red wines, Italy has a myriad of native grape varieties, with each region possessing significant regional characteristics and stylistic differences



The Italian Pavilion can be divided into four main highlights: 50 exhibitors, themed masterclasses created by the first Italian Master of Wine to come to China, an exciting tasting area, and a hospitality display area.



50 boutique wineries spanning the different regions of Italy’s North, Center and South, hitting the exclusive charms of the Apennines in one go.

This year, the Italian National Pavilion has invited the famous Italian Master of Wine, Andrea Lonardi MW, who will be the first Italian Master of Wine to come to China, to bring a wonderful master class – “Italianity” Italian Characteristics: the remarkable uniqueness of Italian wines, which will be an excellent opportunity to have a close exchange and learning with world-class tasting experts.


The term “Italianity” was coined by Andrea Lonardi and is the title of his forthcoming book on the uniqueness of Italy’s most important wine regions, and in this masterclass Andrea will guide you through the discovery of some of Italy’s most fascinating indigenous grape varieties and wine regions, from the Alps to Sicily.
